0-3 Months: Early Motor and Cognitive Development
Gross Motor Skills:
During these early months, your baby will begin lifting their head briefly during tummy time and pushing up on their arms when lying on their stomach.
Fine Motor Skills:
Your baby will grasp your fingers or small toys reflexively, and they may start watching their hands as they move.
Speech and Cognitive Skills:
Expect early cooing sounds as your baby begins exploring their vocal abilities, along with recognizing familiar voices.
Parenting Tip: Encourage daily tummy time to strengthen their neck and shoulder muscles. Use rattles or soft toys to engage their interest in reaching and touching, helping develop both their gross and fine motor skills.
